[ Oh, looks like Astrid has something to say again - albeit not related to the draft, which she's obviously not on. No, this entry is brought to Luceti by her new attempt to read. Not that she's against reading - she read what little Berk had to offer, back home - but it is not her main hobby or even in the top ten.

But she's trying! Which is...something, anyway. ]

Hey. So, I assume some of the books in the library are from other worlds. I mean - I know they are, but I assume they're from the worlds of people here?

So I thought I might ask if anyone has recommendations. Preferably for something with action. But I'll try anything, I guess. That would make it a lot easier than just picking things at random based on title. ...Which is the worst way to choose a book, apparently. Or my luck is just bad today.

[ And if she sounds mildly uncomfortable asking for book recommendations, it's just because she's asking for book recommendations and that's entirely new and weird. ]

Oh, I like fairy tales! Especially Grimm's fairy tales, whoever that is wrote a lot of them.

You could think of him like a god, yes. Father of Lies and Sower of Chaos.

[Guess who's got plenty of book recommendations? Actually, give her half a chance and Ami will be suggesting the entire contents of the library. But she's starting off well.]

You mentioned action, but are there any other genres you also like?

It depends, I guess, what you mean by action. I prefer the Sherlock Holmes books, myself.

[THANK YOU ASTRID it's helpful to do something other than worry.]

Well, I actually study an ancient language back home, a really tricky one to decipher, though I'm probably the only one who can translate it exactly. Or, well, the only one of my kind, I mean. [Though she is bragging, it's the truth. Relares is an insanely complicated language, and she studied it for years.] So I doubt you'd be interested in a bunch of symbols and stuff you wouldn't understand, y'know?

But I can definitely bring over or help you look for the books I mentioned! I kinda hang around the library a whole lot, so I know my way around pretty well, I think. And I've got one of the two treasure hunting books on me now, if you want it.

You might like The Odyssey. It's a journey by sea, and all the battles and adventures the crew faced on their way home from a war.

Mizuno Ami; we've met briefly before, though it was just for a little while. I hope you've been well.

I can help you find a copy of the book, if you'd like.

Oh, they did? It's a bunch of stories though, yeah. Like the one about the bear who was actually a prince!

Not prolonged torture, I'm afraid. And a bit thin on the details but I'm sure you'll enjoy it regardless.

I think everyone in this place is all for keeping themselves busy. It's no wonder, most people come from really busy lives and being idle here ends making people think about our situation... Which is a really bad thing to do unless you want to get depressed.

[Even he gets depressed at times by it. Depressed and really angry, enough to make him want to kill the Malnosso himself. But he keeps it all inside as always and instead finds a way to laugh at it, even now his tone sounds carefree and happy, as if he wasn't affected at all.]

What other things have you considered to keep yourself busy?

Mm, there aren't all that many dragon stories among the tales, really, but the one's that are in there tend to be interesting.

Oh! No, I don't believe we have. I'm Flora! Flora Reinhold.

They're about a detective- well, I suppose sometimes he isn't really a detective, but mostly he is - and his doctor partner and they solve cases for Scotland Yard! Sherlock Holmes notices everything about people, that's how he does it.
